Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is a public post-secondary institution located in the Metro Vancouver region of British Columbia, Canada. KPU serves approximately 20,000 students annually across five campuses, offering more than 140 programs through seven faculties and schools.

KPU's origins trace back to 1972, when it operated as part of Douglas College. In 1981, Kwantlen College split from Douglas College to become a self-standing institution. The college gained degree-granting status in 1995 as a university college, and in 2008, it was re-designated as Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

The university takes its name from the Kwantlen First Nation of the Coast Salish People. KPU campuses are situated on the unceded traditional and ancestral territories of the Kwantlen, Katzie, Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen, Qayqayt, Kwikwetlem, and Musqueam First Nations. 

The university maintains an Aboriginal Gathering Place at its Surrey campus, employs an Elder in Residence, and has established a dedicated Indigenous Student Services Office. The Chief of the Kwantlen First Nation has conferred the title of Si:ya:m (Leader) on the university's Chancellor and President as a symbol of mutual respect.
